If you’re looking to create more options in your wardrobe, adding a crisp white blazer can be just the thing to complete your outfits in the warm weather of the spring and summer months. Especially if you’re looking for a lighter color blazer than a black blazer. Or you want an alternative to a denim jacket. Jean jackets are great for a casual look, but sometimes you want an option that’s a little more polished.

What can you wear with a white blazer?

A white blazer pairs perfectly with dresses, pants and jeans. And even with a pair of shorts, if that feels like you. Create a monochromatic look, a striking black and white look, or even pair it with stripes, color or patterns.

If you’ve purchased a white blazer for the first time and you’re not sure how to style it, I’ve got you covered! In this blog post, I have style tips for how to wear it with dresses, pants and jeans. With tons of outfit inspiration for casual days, work, or a night out.

Let’s look at all the different outfits you can make with this blazer!

Oversized blazers are still going strong, but I prefer more of a classic look with a hip-length two-button blazer. That’s what you’ll see in these looks.

Dress outfits

With a white dress for a monochromatic look

An all white look can be super chic.

I wondered how a blazer would work over top a dress with a fuller skirt. It turns out this looks great!

I showed this dress without a belt in this post, Best Easter Sunday Outfits + Dresses By Body Type. I was still looking for one I liked. Turns out, this belt from Old Navy is perfect with it! Worn under the blazer, the belt draws the eye into the center of the body and defines the waistline, which you want to do since the look is just one color. Pushing up the sleeves on the blazer also draws attention to the waistline.

With a striped dress

This is one of my favorite outfits with this white blazer.

striped dress look

Choose a striped dress with some white in it and it’s easy to pair with a white blazer. I usually steer away from more form fitting dresses, but this striped dress from J.Crew Factory works magic to conceal the waistline. Did you know that horizontal stripes placed close together draw the eye up and down rather than horizontally?

With a black dress

If you’re stumped about what to wear with a white blazer, a black and white look is always chic.

This is a very simple black swing dress.

I’d like this look even more if I belted the waist to define the waistline. I’m wearing nude block heel sandals that extend the leg line. But you could also wear black sandals here.

With a bright and colorful dress

Color totally works with a white blazer. Here I’m wearing bright pink. Combined with this white blazer, it creates a crisp and fresh look.

The white blazer would also be great with bright blue, spring green or pastel colors. Instead of tan sandals, a pair of super trendy metallic heels or sandals would be a perfect way to add a pop of unexpected glam.

With an olive green t-shirt dress

This olive green t-shirt dress is another winner under a white blazer, since white and olive are so complementary to one another. I love a tan shoe as a third color for olive and white.

You can also style your white blazer over a long and flowy dress, perhaps for a night out at the beach. It would be stunning over the top of a long and gauzy maxi beach dress for a nice dinner out at a restaurant.

Pants outfits

With a graphic tee and black crop flare pants

When in doubt, pair black and white together for a sleek look. Here I’m wearing my favorite simple “J’Adore Paris” white tee with black crop flare pants and pointy toe flats for a business casual work look.

With a black top and black crop flare pants

Here’s a similar outfit, but with a column of black underneath the white blazer. Try a black blouse or black tee with black pants.

This is another outfit you can easily wear in an office environment. Notice how the eye is drawn to the vertical column of black that peeks out between the open lapels of the blazer. If you’re a triangle body type and you’re larger on the bottom and smaller on the top like me, this is a great way to create a slimming effect.

With a white top and black wide leg pants

Here’s another black and white look that’s stunning thanks to a pair of long wide-leg pants and black strappy sandals.

It’s perfect for a more formal look for a dressy work event or date night. Add some gold layered necklaces and a clutch bag and you’re ready to go.

Jeans outifts

There are so many different ways to style jeans with a crisp white blazer. They’re a great match with lighter shades and darker shades of blue jeans, and even colored jeans. Let’s look at some outfits!

With a blue and white striped blouse and wide leg crop jeans

It’s a little hard to see here, but I’m wearing a blouse that’s white with blue stripes. I’ve tucked it into some wide leg cropped jeans.

I talked about these J.Crew Factory wide leg jeans in, It’s Try-On Time! Black Pants, Blue Jeans and Quince. I wasn’t planning to keep them, but after styling them some more, I decided I couldn’t part with them. So here they are. And they’re perfect with this blazer and some navy-black block heel slides.

With a fuchsia top and flare jeans

Here’s another example of how a splash of pink works with this white blazer and dark blue flare jeans. In case you’re wondering, this blazer totally works with dark blue jeans as well.

With a white and gold striped shirt and bootcut jeans

Here’s a new outfit idea. I’m wearing a white t-shirt with tan stripes that I picked up at Target for just a few dollars.

It turns out to be perfect under this blazer and with tan block heel sandals and bootcut jeans.

With a white top and pink jeans

Really, you can pair just about any color of pants with a white top and white blazer for a refreshing and vibrant look.

With a white and black striped top and white crop jeans

Here’s another nod to an almost all white outfit. Adding a black-and-white striped top under the blazer is a great way to add some visual interest and draw the eye into the center of the body for a slimming effect.

You can easily sub white pants for white jeans.

With a graphic tee and blue cropped jeans

This is a super casual outfit that you may be able to wear to work on a casual Friday, if your dress code allows jeans.

white sneakers look

I’m wearing my “Le Weekend” graphic tee with kick crop blue jeans and my favorite white sneakers.

With a white tank top and wide leg crop jeans

Last but not least, one of my favorite white blazer outfits. I’m wearing a very on trend snug white ribbed racer tank, tucked into a pair of wide leg cropped jeans. With some gold layered necklaces and a pair of woven tan mules.

Such a simple but fresh and modern look that’s just so good!
