Blazer outfit ideas are something I’ve thought about a lot.

I used to fantasize about being interviewed by Oprah and think about what I would wear. The answer was always a blazer with a beautiful neutral top, jeans and super chic pointy flats.

When a blazer’s involved, it doesn’t take much to make a good looking outfit. And because of its structure, a blazer looks good on every body shape.

Here are 6 navy blazer outfit ideas using J. Crew Factory’s Original Schoolboy Blazer. You can’t see it here, but the lining has a cute blue and white stripe.

Let’s dive into these blazer outfit ideas!

For reference, I’m 5’6″, 160 pounds and 36-inch bust and 31-inch waist. I’m wearing a size 8 in the blazer. It fits true to size.

Blazer outfit ideas with jeans

Outfit #1: With a checkered button down

Throw your blazer on over a navy checkered button down with blue jeans, black pointy toe flats, a matching black belt and bag and you look so good it hurts.

I’m wearing my favorite kick flare cropped jeans that are super versatile and have enough stretch to work for my hard to fit size 12 hips. Learn why I love them so much in my post, Kick Flare Cropped Jeans: 3 Reasons to Love This Non-Skinny Jean.

Swap out your gingham button down for a striped or solid button down if that feels more like you.

Or swap your button down for a cool graphic tee.

Outfit #2: With a graphic tee

How chic is a blazer with a graphic tee!

An outfit Eva Mendez’s character wore in the movie Hitch was my outfit inspiration for this one. She wore a cool Beatles t-shirt under a blazer.

This city tee is my favorite graphic t-shirt since it can be worn so many ways and feels so put together. To see other outfits I’ve made with it read my post, The Chicest Graphic Tee and 14 Super Wearable Graphic Tee Outfits.

In the next outfit, I’m swapping out my crop flare jeans for long flares.

Outfit #3: With flare jeans and clogs

Flare jeans are having a moment again and I’m so glad they’re back!

My style combines Boho and classic looks and this exemplifies that combo. Flares are instantly visually interesting, lengthening the leg. I feel so empowered when I wear them.

Next up, an easy breezy way to wear a blazer.

Outfit #4: With white

How fresh does this outfit look?

It’s a little bit tennis club. And the strap on the bag is blue and green, which coordinates with the blazer and the green logo on these Tretorn tennis shoes.

So easy, fresh and a little bit unexpected.

Now let’s take a look at blazer outfit ideas with dresses. First up, another unexpected look.

Outfit #5: With a blue and white rugby stripe dress

This was a blazer outfit idea that was an experiment. I ended up loving it!

This rugby stripe dress from Amazon has pockets! How easy is this to wear to work on a Friday?

And now, here’s the blazer with the most universally flattering dress ever.

Outfit #6: With a J.Crew Factory striped dress

This was another experiment that worked with the world’s most flattering dress from J.Crew Factory. It’s so good it comes back in stock year after year.

I have a hard time finding dresses that work since I’m a size small on top and a large on the bottom. From the reviews on this dress, it’s also flattering for women who are larger on the top.

The only thing I’d change about this look is to tie the bow further to the side so it’s not visible.

And now I need to know. Do you ever fantasize about being interviewed by Oprah? If so, what would you wear? Do tell! Leave a comment below.
